“Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
Heavenly Father, Creator of All, Your Son’s final words to his disciples were the blessed mission entrusted to the Church, empowered and guided by the Holy Spirit, to proclaim Good New to every creature. The Lord Jesus came to make all things new; to save mankind and through the Holy Spirit to renew the face of the earth. Because of this Glorious Ascension of the Risen Lord , the whole earth is “Charged with the Grandeur of God.”
Father, on this holy day, we thank you for your greatest gift to us, your own beloved Son; and we look forward to a New Pentecost when your Holy Spirit will set our hearts on fire again for the mission before of to announce Good news to all the world. Amen.
