The Lord has done marvels for us. (Ps 126)
God of the universe, we recall the life and works of St. Januarius who devoted his life to the service of those imprisoned. May we pause this day and remember all who find themselves serving time in prison. Through our prayers may they know they are not forgotten and may they know of your loving and gentle presence in their lives. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
