Family Rosary launches new interactive website to reach families to encourage them to pray together. With an animated Rosary that not only teaches the basic elements of the prayer, the website also offers video and audio programming on the Rosary as well as interviews on prayer from people around the world. Web visitors are encouraged to share their inspiring stories, submit their prayer requests, and invite others to join them in prayer.
The new website includes sections such as, Get Involved, which offers tips on encouraging Rosary prayer; Get Inspired, which features stories on how others live and pray the Rosary; and Prayer, which explains other forms of Catholic Christian prayer. FamilyRosary.org also has a full media section with video programs, and social media opportunities so contributors can share what they find and what they submit.
“As we follow Servant of God Father Peyton’s tradition of using mass media to reach families everywhere, expanding what we’re doing on the internet simply makes sense,” said Father John Phalen, CSC, President of Holy Cross Family Ministries, “Our hope is that the website will be a meaningful way to reach families everywhere and help them enhance their daily Rosary prayer.”
Visitors to the site are offered the opportunity to order free Rosaries for themselves, their families, or any schools, parishes and organizations around the world. Providing Rosaries is the essential to the mission as the founder, sainthood candidate Father Patrick Peyton, CSC, strove to bring families to daily Rosary prayer and wanted every member of the family to have a Rosary in their hands.
