"Come Holy Spirit ... Fill our Hearts."

1. Acts 2:1-11
2. 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7,12-13

REFLECTION: What is the mission of the Holy Spirit? Without the animating presence of the Spirit, we could not affirm our belief in Jesus. Jesus sent His Spirit for this purpose, to establish, renew, and continue the faith of the Apostles throughout time. His power is shown all around us—the Church.

PRAYER: Father, we thank You for Your gift of the Spirit to us whereby we are able to affirm that Jesus is our Lord. Help us to be more aware of the presence of the Spirit in our lives. Amen.

FAMILY DISCUSSION/ACTIVITY:

Monday:  Think of ways in which you have experienced the peace of Christ in your life.

Tuesday:  Enjoy a peaceful dinner this evening with your family and/or friends.

Wednesday:  Show the work of the Spirit alive in you today by doing something positive for the needy.

Thursday:  Pray the Mysteries of Light of the Rosary tonight for the Peace of the Pope.

Friday:  Spend time today doing spiritual reading.

Saturday:  Take time today to research the apostolic work that is done by your parish.

PRAYER: Father, You send us the Holy Spirit to enlighten and guide us. Help us to recognize the talents with which you have blessed us and to be gracious in sharing them with others. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
