Let your mercy come to me, O Lord. (Ps. 119)
Gracious and loving God, we stand before you with all our humility to ask for your mercy and forgiveness. It is not always an easy task to follow you. Sometimes our co-workers, friends and even family members try to pull us away from you. Sometimes we try to fight the distractions that are placed before us, be it an argument, speaking poorly about another person, or even discrediting another for something good they have done. For these times that we have fallen away from you, help us to grow in strength and in courage to hold back and remain firm to who we are and not to be afraid to seek your forgiveness. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
