I will sing of your salvation. (Ps 71)
Loving and gracious God, we hear in the scriptures that Jesus was sitting at table and knew who his betrayer was. Often times we encounter people that betray us. Sometimes they are friends, family members or even co-workers. Help us to be like Jesus, ready to accept the sinfulness of others yet not get caught up in behaving in the same manner as them. Jesus teaches us how to respond and stay firmly grounded in our own truth while mistruths surround us. May we have the courage to remain firm during these difficult times in our lives. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
