You forsake not those who seek you, O Lord. (Ps. 9)
Lord God, today we recall the ministry of St. Sixtus II who was fearless in front of his foes. By his witness may we draw strength when faced with difficult people be it in our workplaces, families or among our circle of friends. When found in these difficult situations may we be willing to offer ourselves to protect those who are weak and vulnerable and unable to defend themselves. We ask this in your name. Amen.
