I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Jn 15
Lord, in our baptism we are joined to you. In the Eucharist we share your body and blood in the hope that we will become what we eat. It is our union with you that makes it possible for us to share in your mission and to produce fruit. It is through our union with you that we are able to build up the kingdom of God. When our efforts are motivated or guided by our own wills, we are only building our own kingdoms, and we miss the mark of building yours. Keep me in union with you. Amen.
